Marketing in Social Media Industry Share/Save

Social Media

Social media is seen by many marketers as the next gold rush. Like any business, the media industry evolves in cycles. In the past, there have been few job openings at media companies but now as content converges and more media companies are looking for ways to branch out and reach larger population bases there is an increase in the availability of highly coveted marketing positions.

However, the availability of new technologies and new developments in the media industry have created a demand for new kinds of experience, cultural knowledge and skills sets that candidates must be aware of if they wish for such a position.

If you are pondering starting social media marketing, these findings will help push you over the edge.  If you’re already onboard, feel free to examine what the really experienced marketers are doing.

When searching for a marketing position in the media industry it is important to know that the industry is highly heterogeneous. Marketers should also be aware of the competition that they will face when pursuing a position at a media company. Typically, marketers must have a plethora of solid experience and a vast understanding of the media industry and the specific changes impacting the industry they are looking to work in. Marketers should already be familiar with how to communicate their messages across a variety of mediums and how to connect with a large customer base.

Social marketing requires so many processes going on at once that it can quickly become overwhelming. It’s no wonder that things can slip through the cracks.

5 Simple Things Most Social Media Marketers Forget To Do

Set Goals

Setting gals for social media

It’s amazing how many campaigns are run without a set goal. Marketers understand that social media is interacting with consumers but forget they need goals to track success. The goal doesn’t need to be a sales figure, it could be something as simple as number of @ replies on Twitter or Facebook fans. By analyzing your current standing, your goal and your % change you can decide what has been working and what not. Without these numbers you can neither optimize your campaign nor determine success.

Link Profiles

Link profiles

Linking your social media profiles to a hub and each other is a simple and effective way to build a community throughout your network. By making it easy for consumers to find the brand profiles you will remove an obstacle for them to join the community. Giving consumers multiple ways to connect with the brand increase the likelihood.

Use Multimedia

Use multimedia

The web has evolved to go beyond just textual content to include images and videos. Leaving out this section of content means, disregarding a large section of consumers.

Listen Intently

Listen intently

When engaging in social media, 60% of your time should be spent listening to the industry and mentions of your brand. Only 40% of your time should be spent actually interacting with consumers. Here listening means actively tracking conversation and reading mentions. Just knowing that they exist is not enough; you need to know what they’re talking about, how they talk and what the trend is.

Have Fun

Have fun

One of the forgotten, yet most important aspect of social media is to have fun. Brands forget that they’re engaging consumers talking to them instead of broadcasting a message. By having a good time yourself and staying upbeat consumers enjoy interacting with you. The brand must set the mood for the engagement, just like in offline relationships, online consumers will take cues from the brand on how the interaction should occur.

Remembering these 5 strategies can help make your social campaign a success. These may be easy to forget, but are extremely effective.

Internet Marketing Provides A Way For You To Earn Your Living Online! Share/Save

Author: 104inc.com

An internet marketing seminar can be your ticket to learning everything you need to get started making money online. If you are like the thousands of people who have been laid off or \”sacked\” recently as they say in the U.K., you should look to learning a skill that no one can take away from you now.   The internet is now a multi-billion dollar distribution channel.

You can learn skills today (I\’ll show you how and for free) that can provide a way for you to earn your living online or supplement your other income streams.   One thing that should become apparent to many of you is that it is very dangerous to put your trust in your company. It is wise to \”diversify\” and have access to multiple revenue streams.

For more detail go to:  free marketing tricks .An older gentleman told me once, and I believe that this is true. He said, \”You will never get to a point in life where you won\’t need additional income.\” This is true. Think about it.

Are you at a place in life, to where you do not need additional and ongoing income? No…Me neither. So that being the case, you can start learning online, right now this instance from marketing videos using free seminars that others have paid for but you can get in for free.

sss

These videos were recorded during the seminars that other people have paid thousands just to attend. The sad but true part about this is that the majority of those that forked over money never really went home and took action on what they learned.   You won\’t have to do that here. They spent money on air fare, taxi cabs, hotel expenses, meals and of course the $3,700 entrance fee.

Now that is a lot of money to put out for a business that you don\’t even know if you\’ve got the knowledge to perform in. This is one way to get training and after you get going you may choose to do the same thing to. But for right now why not take advantage of the free seminars containing the experts teaching on internet marketing videos?

Affiliate marketing is a simple arrangement between the merchant and the affiliate. Think of this as the same thing in the offline world as \”word of mouth\” advertising. They say that word of mouth advertising is the best advertising in the world. Not just because it is free, but because it holds more credibility to the person receiving the recommendation.

You\’ve done this already. You are probably doing it right now. for more detail go to:  www.BuyatDiscounts.com/Marketing/DD_index.asp .Have you seen a good movie and told someone about it on Monday morning at work?

Sure we all have. Well that was WOM advertising at its best. You can do the same thing online and get paid for it everyday and a ton of people are getting paid even while they are sleeping. The wake up to see that someone, somewhere online has sent them money.

If You Don’t Run This Story, I’m Taking it to Your Competition Share/Save

How many people do you know that react well to threats or ultimatums? The media is no different. When pitching the press, you are trying to position yourself as a media resource or an ally, and an ally does not issue threats.

\'\'\'\'\'\'\'\'\'\'\'\'\'\'\'\'\'\'\'\'\'\'||||||||||||||||

You want the a href=“ http://anthonymora.com/media.html ”>media  to understand that you can help meet their needs by giving them interesting stories. You are not going to make your story more interesting to a newspaper editor or TV producer by threatening to take your story to his or her competitor.

If your story is hot or timely, and various media outlets are pursuing you, by all means, use that interest to your advantage. Inform the media outlets that there are others interested and that you need to make a decision as soon as possible. Try to negotiate the best coverage you can. But, even in that situation, you never want to threaten the media.

If you can convince the media that you have an interesting story that meets their needs and that you are an expert in the field, the media will feature you. Those are your primary objectives. You can threaten, scream, cry, and badger the media, but all you are going to do is alienate them. Plenty of people do these things every day. Of course, you’ll never see them in the media.

How To Develop Gushing Rivers Of Never Ending Cash Share/Save

Author: Glen Hopkins

The best thing to sell on the Internet is something that is a digitally delivered product or service like ebooks, courses, membership sites and software. Digitally delivered products and services provide this instant gratification because they can be accessed or downloaded immediately upon online credit card payments. This is not possible with products or services that require shipping.

Digitally delivered products and services cost little to produce and have the potential to yield never ending revenue. Once you have your site completed and your product or services ready, you incur no additional costs. The product or service is created once, then sold and resold. Such products and services have virtually no overhead and don’t require storage or shipping charges.

The key to developing a digital product is to ’sell your knowledge.’ What do you know that others could benefit from? Are you a great cook? You could put together an ebook on cooking.

sfg

Are you an artist? Then sell an online course teaching how to paint and draw. Are you a mom? Sell a members-only mom site that tells everything you know about infant care or child rearing.

What do people ask you advice about? What hobbies do you have? What are you passionate about? Write all your thoughts down without editing them and once you have a list of about ten ideas, start to work through them. You will be amazed at what you know about certain subjects.

The best way to determine your customers’ wants and needs is to simply ask them. A good way of finding out what your customers’ want is to use PagePersonalizer.

What this does is ask your customers or prospects what their most important question is regarding a certain product or service. When they enter their question, they also enter their name and email address and you are creating a database where you can sort through all the questions people ask of you.

sdg

This is a great way of finding out what your potential customers need and want because it’s in their questions.

After finding out what your subscribers want and need, redirect them to a ‘Thank You’ page, which is perhaps the most valuable piece of Web real estate you own.

This is the page that people are redirected to after taking some sort of action on your website: subscribing to your newsletter, making a purchase or submitting a feedback form.

The ‘Thank You’ page is a prime opportunity to up-sell or cross-sell your visitor with related products or services. Generally, up-selling means to sell a customer a higher priced version of a product or service.

For example, if a customer just bought an audio program, you could ask, “Would you like to buy the transcripts to go along with the audio you just purchased?”

On the other hand, cross-selling means selling a different, but related product or service. For example, when you buy insurance for your car, the salesperson may ask if you would like to buy home insurance too.

Always be polite by thanking your customers.

Viral Ebooks - How to Promote Them! Share/Save

Author: Craig Cawthorne

Marketing with a viral e-book is an excellent way to promote your various products.  Viral e-books are capable of reaching a large audience and are limited only by the enthusiasm of the participants.  So, the question is how do you make your e-book known to as many people as possible and as quickly as possible?  You will not benefit from it unless you let others know that you have an e-book.

If you are like most marketers, you purpose for creating a viral e-book is simply, to increase your cash flow.  In order to accomplish this, you will need to exposed your e-book to as many people as possible. However, trying to do this on your own would not be efficient and could take up a whole lot of your time.

Clearly defining your target audience is the first thing you will need to do.  You will need to determine the characteristics of your ideal customers.  Your promoting time will be more efficient and effective by defining your customer.

The next thing you will want to do is build a list of subscribers.  Take some time to create an e-zine or newsletter that will target your desired market.

sf

In your newsletter you can place articles, news, and tips that relate to the subject matter of your e-book and products it may be promoting.

Make sure that you feature your e-book prominently in your newsletter.  There is no point in creating the newsletter if you don’t promote your e-book or other products within it.  Just try not to make your promotions to obvious.

After you have determined what your newsletter is to contain, you will need to start gathering subscribers for it.  One way for you to get a subscriber is to include a squeeze page in your web site where people can subscribe.

Another way that works is to have a small pop up box where people can enter their email addresses to subscribe.  Pop up boxes can be extremely annoying but they do work.

As incentive, try giving away something of value that relates to your viral e-book.  In fact, you could give away your e-book as long as it contains other products within it that you are marketing.

A great way to promote your newsletter is to get it listed on group subscription forms and inside the pages of high traffic web sites. Signing up for a free publisher accounts on various e-zine directory listings will be beneficial because you can add your newsletter in their directories.

f

Beside the e-zines and newsletters, you will need to actively promote your e-book on your own web site. Create one or more page devoted solely to your e-book. Placing it in a list together with all your other products won’t be much help.  Creating a separate page allows it to stand out.

You should also make it easy for your visitors to find out about your e-book anywhere in your web site. Prominently place the e-book on all of your pages. If that is not possible, add a navigation bar just for your e-book. You may want to feature some excerpts from your e-book to arouse visitor curiosity about it.

As the author, include information in the e-book about yourself. Having your own e-book establishes you as an expert in the area of your subject matter.  The more people know about you, the more they will began to trust you. Also, placing a picture of yourself in the e-book will add more credibility to you.

Make sure that your e-book gets listed in all e-book directories to gain greater exposure. There are quite a few of these e-book directories out there. Also another great way to actively promote your e-book is to join forums that talk about the same topic as your e-book.

You can post threads or reply to other peoples post that might be related to what your e-book is offering.  To maximize exposure to your e-book, you should apply one of the first principles of viral marketing. Give your viral e-book away to people who might find it interesting and useful.

These are just a few of the ways you can promote your e-book. There are many other possible avenues that you can explore. Just use your imagination and creativity. However, the methods listed here are sufficient to get your viral e-book promotion started.

“take Advantage of Viral Marketing Through Articles” Share/Save

Author: Matt Bacak

Internet marketers at the top of the Internet success ladder understand that articles are a marketing tool.  They write articles constantly and strive to post two articles per day to the Internet.  Why?  Do these Internet marketers just love to write articles?  Perhaps they do, but there is more to it.

These Internet marketers understand the power of viral marketing.  Viral marketing is an efficient way to advertise your Internet business on the Internet without any extra effort on your part. Read on to find out the secrets of creating effective articles to promote your Internet business.

1) What is viral marketing and how does it apply to articles?

Viral marketing with articles is a process in which you post your article to specific number of article directories.  These websites allow anyone to copy and paste your article, including your bio information, onto their own website for free.

Sometimes they put articles into their ezines and newsletters.  These websites love obtaining free content.  They can do this as long as they give you credit.  Therefore, your articles spread to websites all over the Internet.

An example of viral marketing is the case of an Internet marketer that posted articles to 10 locations to begin with.  The number of locations quickly blossomed into 30,000 locations on the Internet with no extra work on his part.

s........................................

2)  What is the proper format for articles?

Your articles should contain the following five elements: Title, content, summary, keyword list, and bio.
Title:  Write an engaging title that contains a keyword. Content:  300-700 words.  The content should be informative to the reader and not a sales pitch.  If you have sales copy in your article then it will most likely be rejected by the various article directories.

Technically, 70% of the article should be informative content while the remaining 30% can be sales copy.  However, strive to provide 100% content.  This will please readers who will be more apt to click on the link to your squeeze page. Summary:  125 words or fewer.  The summary tells the reader what the article is about.

Keyword list:  The keyword list should contain keywords from your article to be used in searches by the reader and search engines. Bio:  Your bio is the most important part of your article because it contains a clickable link to your squeeze page.  This is the place to have your sales pitch.  Ham it up!

3)  Where should I submit articles?

You can use a program such as Article Announcer to submit articles.  Recommended free article submission directories include http://www.ezinearticles.com and http://www.searchwarp.com.  A great paid article submission directory is http://www.submityourarticles.com.

You can also find potential article submission locations by searching for your keyword in Google.  Look at the first few links that come up on Google.  These locations have a high page rank which is what you want.  Some of them may be article submission directories.

Book Review Marketing Esp How to Pinpoint Hot, Hungry, and Highly Profitable Markets Share/Save

Author: Cindy King

If you have an online business, or if you want to use web marketing to develop your business:       Get Marketing ESP now, before you do anything else.       I cannot recommend this product highly enough. Get This Web Marketing Tool Now

Marketing E.S.P. will give the geeks the marketing “E.S.P.” they need and it will give the marketers and business strategists easy to follow geek training on how to get the information they need to become psychic.

International Market Research With ESP     The process you learn here is rock solid. It is easy to follow.    You will learn both:       How to do market research online and    How to use this market research to take the risk out of your business and create opportunities.       If you do not know where to start to get international business, you will find the first part of Marketing ESP extremely useful: how to do effective market research online.

Use this as your basic process to find gold in your own domestic markets.    Acquire these good marketing habits.    Adapt this process for international market research.       I often get emails from companies abroad, saying “hey, I want to get international clients, what do I do?” Most people:       Either freeze up when it comes to international market research.

Or they have absolutely no clue what to do and where to start.       There is no magic formula. Your international business starts with market research. It is work. And it is work you should do yourself.    The great news is you can do it from where you are. And you can start with little steps.

Yes, I know, there is the issue of language and culture. Get over it. You can wait until you win the business lotto, or you can start with market research.       With the market research YOU can do now.    In a proven process that is systematized.

You will find the solutions to your language and culture hurdles as you take action. Once completed you will realize that these hurdles are not as big as they seemed.    It is common to use this process for successful international market research in the field. It works. Before long, you will know where the business opportunities are for your products.

See Where Your Business Is     Sylvie Fortin says that good marketers have E.S.P. They know where the money lies.    Good marketers know this simply because they systematically carry out market research from different angles.    I agree with Sylvie and Michel when they say you need to do this work yourself. Do not outsource it. The success of your business depends on it.

Do Your Business Viability Study In Hours    Yes, Marketing E.S.P. is a complete business viability study based on web marketing tactics. This means it is easy to do online.    Before the Internet, a business viability study was not this easy. It did not give you as much clear market information. There is one important advantage to doing a viability study. This process takes the risk out of your business.

New Products Creation, New Market Opportunities     A viability study also gives you a valuable additional advantage.    If you use this process for your business, your website and your products you will probably come up with new leading business ideas you could not see without this research.

The research you carry out gives you great insight into your markets.     A Process For Business Success     The key is how you carry out your market research. Marketing E.S.P. starts with showing you how to collect market data online. You then learn how and where to collect keywords. You learn about collecting research from different angles:

Standard research    Vertical research    Horizontal research    Multidimensional research       Most people stop their market research too soon. Probably because they do not realize they also need to do research from different angles.

By stopping too soon, you put your business at risk.    It is only after you have obtained data from all the different angles that you can understand where your business lies in your market.

sdf

What You Get In This Business Building Program    This video program reminds me a little bit of the Web Video University course. The videos are in clear segments and topics. There are clear instructions on how to do every step.

There is homework after each important step. These homework segments review the steps you need to take in detail again. This makes the whole process easy to follow. Do this homework and you have your own viability research for your business or your product.

There are useful resources at the end of each segment. But this is a how-to guide not an all-in-one package. There is other software involved.    This is a Michel Fortin product. He knows all about testing. So do not hesitate to take his advice on what software to use.    Marketing E.S.P. advises you to buy two products:       WordTracker and SpyFu.

Both have free options. But to do the research you need to do it will take you much longer with the free versions. The Marketing E.S.P. Program also recommends other free software and resources.     First Success Chef Cookbook Published     This is the first series in the Success Chef training program.

I read about Michel Fortin’s Success Chef Program a while ago. I did not really understand what it was all about then and why he was asking $3000 for it.    The Marketing E.S.P. Cookbook comes with a much more palatable price tag. It is currently at $97. And when I read about it I knew it would be valuable.

It’s a little bit like  Ed Rivis’ Stats Faceslap . Good market research, just like website statistics, is work people do not like doing. Both are great how-to guides and inspiration to get the work done.    Marketing ESP is worth much, much more. How much? It is hard to say.

This makes effective market research easy and gets you to do it. Do the work and this program will be invaluable to your business.    There is one thing I should mention. The transcripts of the videos are only available to full Success Chef Members. This is not important.

Most of the videos are direct how-to videos. You should be watching the videos instead of reading the transcripts.    I did not pay much attention to the Success Chef before. Now Michel and Sylvie have me all ears. The price tag and payment options are still too steep for me. But I am now interested in the other Cookbooks.

Take The Risk Out Of Your Business     As you have probably guessed, I highly recommend this program.    Take the time to listen to all the videos with a notebook. Do not try to multi-task while working on this. Do not try to do anything else while listening to the videos.

Do the multidimensional market research    Get all of your keywords from multidimensional sources    Do your own viability study    And adjust your business to your most profitable target       For international market research, this is a great process. It takes the freezing element out of getting started.

What is Internet Marketing Cross Selling? Share/Save

Author: Harjinder Kaur

What is cross selling?    There is really no cleAarcut definition on cross selling, but it is one effective technique when it comes to internet marketing. It is the process by which you identify the customers who are interested in a certain set of products and then you go and branch out by means of selling similar material.

This is the trend when it comes to Internet, be it in surfing for information or for buying products. You try to find one area, and then you end up purchasing and getting something else completely different.Cross selling is the tactic which harnesses that naturalInclination of Internet users to deviate from their original object. In a way, for more details visit to  www.forum-marketing-videos.com  you may consider that distraction, but if it is closely related to what they were seeking, then that is not too bad.

Why it works    As mentioned earlier, you will find that most people are very flexible when they surf the Internet for various stuff. For the layman, it may seem like a random series of clicks. But from the vantage point of an internet marketer, you will find that you can actually make use of this seemingly “random” series of clicks of your prospects into a trail to your internet marketing success.

You will find that most people who buy products related to what you are selling are more likely to help bring their prospects to your page, for more details visit to  www.tube-traffic.com  if you link up and be open for mutual cross selling of products. The beauty of cross selling is that it is both an instant sale and a follow up all rolled into one.

wdesd

How you use cross selling Cross selling can occur by linking up and making your autoresponders correspond to it. All your programs, your Ezines, your mini-courses and all other techniques of following up your leads may be used to cross sell. Harness also the power of other people who are working at your target market, make business ventures that will enable you to cross sell to their websites.

Combined leads are more powerful than relying on the list you have made for yourself. Be confident with your cross selling techniques so that it will really work well with you.    When to use it    You can cross sell in the beginning, but most internet marketers find it viable to cross sell when they have already established themselves in their target market.

This is really understandable since you’ll find that people won’t be willing to make tie ups for cross selling if you haven’t earned their trust yet. To cross sell is somehow one of the best ways to do followup. You may get tired of doing the same old thing. Prospects also need a bit of variety, and you can provide this and at the same time maintain your internet marketing savvy by means of creative cross selling of your products.
